Taking shape - Part 3

Well it's been a week since we were at the property. All of the roofing tiles ( 40 year composition ) are on. They are making sure all the rain gutters are clear of junk - they will be installing a mesh over the gutters to stop leaves and pine needles and anything else from getting in and clogging them. The dormers are in and add a nice touch to the roof line. The house is pretty much enclosed now - just before winter weather sets in. They will work on the outside when weather permits and on the inside the rest of the time. A lot has been done to this point but it is still probably 3 months away from completion.

Taking shape - part 3

It's only been a week since we were at the property this time. The builder is keeping the pace and quality constant. The house is now wrapped with the weather protection system "TYPAR", check out the specs:
http://www.typar.com/homeowner/index.html pretty cool stuff. The roofing material is going on - 40 year composition. Most of the windows are in also. Can hardly wait to see it next week!

Taking shape - part 2

We were out of town for two weeks so when we saw the progress yesterday it was exciting to see how much they've accomplished. The preliminary exterior walls are up. The trusses are on and plywood is on the roof - ready for the roofing materials. The windows are starting to go in. It really is beginning to look like our home.
